Bexhill Windsurfing Ban ??? Any truth in the rumour?? |

Just heard through the grapevine that the local council are looking to ban windsurfing at the beaches of Bexhill and surrounding areas. Doesn't sound like any consulation has taken place with locals that may find such a ban to be an issue. I have personally sailed the local stretch of coast between Eastbourne & Camber on a regular basis, and I am yet to see anything that would suggest windsurfing to cause any danger to the general public who may be sharing the beach and / or the water space. Kitesurfers have had some stick but do seem to be sorting out their act, and the majority I've encountered are fully aware of other water users and beach goers. |
