In association with JP/NeilPryde Young Guns

This year?s National Windsurfing Festival is looking like being one of the best yet, building on the success of previous years and continuing to grow and draw support from across the UK?s windsurfing communities and enthusiasts!

This year The BSA (British Slalom Association) are pleased to announce that they will be supporting the Festival with a new junior element called Junior Turbo 15. The RYA?s long established and successful Team15 programme has brought 1000?s of youngsters to windsurfing over the years and continues to feed the sport?s various disciplines with world class competitors, now the BSA are bringing this junior element to the Festival with a master blaster fleet for 15 year olds and younger, based on similar class rules as Team15 the Turbo 15 section will feature such classes as 3.5m, 4.5m, 5.8m and techno 6.8m fleets racing together off the world famous Hayling Island Beach in front of the gathered masses and spectators- a natural theatre of dreams!

Chris Lewis, of Pryde Group UK and Team 15 South Zone CO, will be running the racing not under the usual banner of RYA Team15 but with support from all the attendant BSA brands at the festival. Featuring races with pro sailors, superb prizes, team challenges and the famous ?dusk dash? a great support act for the youngsters ahead of the event?s featured night race! Chris commented ?We are super happy and excited to bring a junior element to this long established Festival, the kids will have a great time entertained and coached by the pro sailors while enjoying some fun, exciting and safe racing off the beach!?

As ever entry numbers will be limited so any youngsters wishing to enter and take part in this windsurfing extravaganza are asked to enter on-line at a www.nationalwindsurfingfestival.com with a discounted rate. The first 300 NWF competitors from all categories secure themselves a free NWF rash vest to what promises to be one of the biggest and most exciting events of the year!
