Looking for a windsurfing summer holiday where you get to see the sights, and windsurf with friends, new and old .... this could be just the event for you.
More details as I get them, but read on for info I have so far .... Dear Ian, The Tour Duf Windsurf will start Tuesday the 12th of August at LOCTUDY – in the south of Finistère, close to Quimper.We will then go to :- Brest,- Drennec Lake- Aber Wrac’h – Landeda- Plouguerneau- Brignogan Plages We usually send the inscription form in April and I will, of course, let you know. With respect to the camping, we are camping at different places as the tour proceeds ie :The 12th of August at Loctudy, the 13 at Brest, the 14 at Drennec Lake… As far as Kona Windsurf boards are concerned, we have a Kona category on the Tour Duf. Be sure we will do our very best for your windsurfers to enjoy the Tour Duf 2008 !! You can also have a look to the 2006 and 2007 video we‘ve made on the following web site : www.jpfprod.fr – “Vidéothèque”. As far as the campsite is concerned, it is free for all the participants and their family. There is space for motorhome as well. For security reasons on the water, we can accept no more than 150 windsurfers. Usually we have between 90 and 120 people competing each year. This is a very well known event which exists since the end of the 80’s. The French Windsurf Team often comes and we also welcomed Julien QUENTEL. In 2006, Hugh SIMS WILLIAMS and Eliot CARNEY also visited the Tour ! One last thing, this year the Tour Duf Windsurf takes place during the 293 Youth World Championship in Sopot ( They change their time table ). I really hope this won’t be to much a trouble for you to come after all. The « Tour Duf Windsurf » will also take place in 2008 in Brittany. We will start Tuesday the 12th of August and finish Sunday the 17th of August 2008.The “Tour Duf Windsurf” is a travelling regatta : each day we are moving to a new beach, so we are competing each time in a new place. T he inscription fees for the all week + T-shirt are 120 €. Each day, the Organisation is offering diner to all windsurfers. Each night, a campsite is proposed to all participants and there family. Lunch is not offer, but a group of volunteers is taking everything in charge for a very attractive price.
