Hi! Forecast is 14 knots west on Sat. Should be good for Formula and slalom. On Sun, forecast is 17 knots NNE so that's slalom weather. I'll be at Inn on the Beach pretty much all day on Sat. then ......
On Sun, NNE is good from the Life Boat Station at Hayling. However, Dan from Farmoor might be running fun slalom there if he decides this direction is not as bad as it looks. Just give me a buzz if you want to know the final location. Last weekend was awesome with good wind at Bough Beech on Sat for LWA event. I'm pleased to report that there's still life in the old dog after winning the event. Also lapped second placed man in the last race - Youpeee!!! The LWA is still alive and kicking which is good to see. Dan had brought a new comer (Paul) who did really well for his first Formula event. Sunday was great too with the wind starting light. The usual local Formula crowd was out there planning in the sunshine. Old hand (almost as old as me!) Nick Scott was testing new 10.0m sail. Local Formula newbie Rob Warren had to be fished out of the water by yours truly after pulling a muscle for going too fast!!! The day ended in style with super flat water at low tide, flat out on 7.2 - that was bliss... The days are getting longer and warmer - roll on 2008! See you on the water, Dr Xavier Ferlet |
